from 68 reviewsRecieved the watch today just after the launch. First impression is WOW! This watch is great. It is incredibly legible and does the lume pop on this watch. This was my first watch and I am sure it won’t be my last from Bernhardt.
Having owned several Bernhardt watches, I have come to expect immense quality and value from the brand. The 20th anniversary Binnacle diver sets a new benchmark for both. From a design standpoint, the watch simultaneously achieves an innovative and yet still timeless appeal. Functionally, the watch is built to incredible specs for the price. In my opinion, the best way the describe the watch is being abundantly capable while still being subtly refined. The best of both worlds.
I am totally pleased. Just right in every way. Very accurate, well regulated and the right size.☺️
This watch has exceeded my expectations.
A nice watch that looks good on a variety of batch straps. Dial is a blue - verging on teal? - with a nice sunray. The orange seconds hand, with is what sold me on this color way, is a nice contrast with the rest. However, the silver framing of the dial markers does subtract from the legibility these under certain lighting - direct sunlight - conditions, thought not of the ability to tell time. The watch is well regulated (mine runs at +4-5 sec/day over ~15 days of wear during the day)The lume is good (though not stellar) but the photo (rendering?) of the lume may be misleading, at least on mine the lume on the hands is noticeably stronger than on the dial/bezel which are well matched. The bracelet is nicely done and easily resized given a right size (micro) screwdriver and a little patience (and a bracelet block helps there) and the ‘on the fly’ adjust works well. Wearing the watch on the bracelet does make the ‘package’ noticeably heavier on the wrist (as expected) which is why I’m not a fan of solid bracelets in general. However, the quick release makes it easy to change out the bracelet for other straps. It pairs particularly well with an Octopod Athena strap with almost matches the color of the dial and wears well on a (thin) milanese strap.
It is a fantastic watch and a such a great value. Very nice upgrades with the sapphire bezel, tapered bracelet, micro-adjustment on the bracelet, and the 300 meter water resistance.
I have been a fan of Berndhardt and their story for a while but this was the first model that finally got me to dive in and added it to my collection. I've already gotten several unsolicited comments on it. The dial has tons of depth with the sunken, sandwich dial, it's extremely legible and has brilliant lume. The bracelet is also really well executed at this price point - I'm not usually a fan of this type of quick adjust mechanism on this clasp however this one is easy to use! My favorite feature is the crown though, it is the perfect size, is very easy to grip and has very rewarding winding action. If you're on the fence and looking for a well-spec'd diver that is assembled in the USA, look no further!
The watch looks awesome, fits and wears well!
The Binnacle Diver looks and feels great on wrist! My favorite details are the cutouts in the dial that give way to impressive lume underneath, the micro-adjust in the bracelet (which is very comfortable), and the slim profile of the watch. Nice work on this one, Bernhardt!
I've had a lot of dive watches in the fifty years I've been a diver, and this new & redesigned Binnacle Diver is the best of them yet! I prefer it to all of them.
- It keeps precise time, rides lightly upon the wrist, reads easily with a clean dial, and has great lume.
How good do I think your watch is? It has replaced my Rolex which I have given to my son...I'm wearing YOUR watch!
Well done all around by your team.
Cheers,
R
I bought my first Bernhardt watch back in 2015, more than 10 years ago. Since then I've purchased over 30 watches from them, many of them as gifts to family and friends. As a long time customer, and an avid supporter, the new Binnacle Diver is an amazing evolution from its original design. From the Sea Shark to the new logo, and all of the colors that have gone through the line up, this latest iteration is a welcome refresh to the line up. The new colors, new movement, the slimmer form, the new quick release clasp with micro adjustments, so many improvements all while preserving the original shark teeth design! Absolutely fantastic! If I had to suggest one improvement to the current design would be to make the bezel edges a bit sharper, so turning it is a bit easier.
My favorite part of all Bernhardt Watches still is the customer service. It is the main reason, I keep coming back.
I hope others will enjoy it as much as I do!
Very happy with my new Binnacle Diver. I was looking for a retirement gift for myself..Bernhardt, $100 off and 300m, an easy choice. This is my fourth
Bernhardt and the best bracelet I've ever worn, great upgrade, great time piece.
Thanks!
